Birthday
Erin !
But he quickly came up with a solution.... All he needs is someone to give him a boost!
Notice grandma's hand to the left. This is Kai's safety gear. You can't go climbing without it.
He was looking for something very specific...."hmmm let me see" I was calling out suggestions, but he was looking for just the right snack!
I believe on this climb he decided on the ever delicious "pickle" oh ya and a "Diet Pepsi" with ice. I just LOVE this boy.
They still have these dinosaurs outside the old Field House.....they have a brand new Field House they built a couple blocks down the street. But they left these dino's behind. The bear behind the kids to the right of Jason is now in the new Field House. I took a picture below. They didn't have it in an exhibit behind glass, like they did in the old Field House it's just right out there along with all the other stuffed animals. I think I liked em better behind glass!!

Yep......Dinosaur Land in Vernal, Utah. I think the last time we were there was about 14 years ago when the kids were all little. I need to find some of those pictures we took and post them.
We took a ride around town, and found the Vernal Temple. It looks just like a church, with the Angel Moroni on top. I love how no two temples are exaclty the same. They are all unique in there own way.
We rented a small (very very small) cabin. The best part about the cabin was that it had a swing on the front porch....YEAH!
You can't go to Vernal and not take a ride up to Flaming Gorge. It was absolutely beautiful up there. We rode over to Dutch John & then over to Manila.
I don't think you can take a bad picture of the lake. I couldn't believe how many boaters were on the lake. We didn't see to much wildlife. I think a squirrel ran across the rode once.
Its a little hard to tell, but its one of those wire fences where the squares are like 4 inches. I can't even tell how he got stuck. It's like he tried to jump thru one of the squares. The more he struggled the worse it got.
So Bruce slowly walked up to the fence, the fawn was scared and kept wiggling and getting even more tangled. A baby fawn crying sounds just like a baby lamb crying (just in case you were wondering)
The one thing we wished we would have had was a pair of wire cutters, because that fawn was really tangled up in that fence. The whole time Bruce is helping the fawn, the mama deer was getting very upset, she was just sure Bruce was hurting her little baby.
Bruce hollered over and asked if "I was going to get out and help him instead of sitting there taking pictures?" . I hollered back "No Way, I'm a huge coward, I will stay right here in the truck where it's safe, cause that mama deer does not look happy. And besides why should both of us make her mad!"
Bruce finally got him free enough that he could wriggle through, and catch up to his mama.
I'd like to think that the mama deer turned around, gave us a look to let us know she was grateful to us for helping out her baby.
I usually put off telling Erin we are going, only because she wants to put her suit on and carry her towel around until we go. It's only a problem if you tell her the night before.. :-)
Grandpa got Mckai to jump off the side, but only if Grandpa would go on the Diving Board
Here is Grandpa making good on his promise......
Erin Loves the slide. I'm fine with it as long as someone is at the bottom to pull her back up when she sinks to the bottom. Yep Erin is a sinker!

I know Mckai had a great time.
So did Erin....they gave away cowboy hats. It took awhile for Erin to warm up to the idea of wearing one.
