While in Jackson Square

In New Orleans,  we came across a Caricaturist.  We asked if he could do a picture of Erin,  And how much it would be?

He said he doesn't charge (Say What?)  He did an Awesome Job turning Erin into "Super Girl"  I love it!  BTW  He got a very nice tip,  in fact he said he could go home for the day! šŸ˜„

Some More New Orleans

We were able to get tickets for a steamboat  ride on the Creole Queen

Before getting on they had to check our purses and bags,  Erin wasn't to happy about that!

Dinner was .....Ummm Different.  But I did check stuff off the list of things I wanted to try or see  Gumbo & Jambalaya was some of them.

A Jazz Band was another thing on the list.  As was the Ride on the Steamboat on the Mississippi

Another place on the List was a Cemetery,  we chose the Lafayette  Cemetery,

I don't think Erin and Bruce were as enthused as I was.

I wish we would have taken one of the tours that they offer at the front gate, because it sounded like they had a lot of information about the Cemetery.

More New Orleans
This is our Hotel,   we were  on our way back from the French Quarter, so I snapped a picture.

Of course we had to stop and get a Beignet at Cafe Du Monde.

 And Yes they are Yummy!

We also visited Jackson Square where the St Louis Cathedral is.  It's the oldest Church in New Orleans it was first built in 1718.

It was expanded and rebuilt several times.  The last time in 1850.

The inside was Awesome.

And beautiful.

We took a ride on the Trolley.   Which will take you to a lot of the tourist spots.  we rode it over to mid city.

Erin loved it,  she could have rode it all day long.  (Notice the beads)  she had to wear them when ever we left the Hotel.

The streets in the French quarter were barely big enough for one car.  There were a lot of "OneWay" streets.  Thats why we decided to do a walking tour.
