A new Roof

The Old Roof

This is the project We wanted to hold off on doing, but unfortunately the roof had other plans! We were hoping we could wait another year or two, but no such luck. When a roof leaks...you listen and act fast! We had a great "roofer guy" I wish I would have gotten his picture. It's not ideal to re-roof in the middle of winter, because the weather never cooperates. But John assured us he could get it torn off and papered, before it snowed or rained again. And he did....bless you John, and Thanks you did a great job.

A 3 year old carpenter.....

We were out to Brandon and Mandy's the other day. They were putting in a garage door and needed the saw. While we were there Mckai wanted to help so Mandy gave him some Wood, Nails, and a Hammer. Mandy asked Mckai if he needed any help getting the nails started so he could hammer them in. Mckai said "No thanks, I can do it all by myself" And thats just what he did! It was so cute to watch him line up each nail and hammer it in. He didn't even smash his fingers, that must be from Mandy's side of the family, cuz our side is "very" accident prone!

I asked God….

I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No. Her spirit is whole, her body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations, it isn't granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings, Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me. God said... Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

A WII

Bruce received a WII for his Birthday....The last time we had a video game console in the house was a Nintendo 64 and the boys were in High School.

We have been playing almost every night since he got it.. Bowling is our favorite!

Erin just Loves it, she laughs and laughs when she is playing. Bowling and Baseball are her favorites.

Brandon was the only one brave enough, not to mention the only one with stamina to try boxing.
We Love our WII.
