Squirrels......

Yes we have Squirrels.....about a week ago I noticed a squirrel in the back yard. I'm willing to share the back yard as long as it stays away from any part of the yard I'm in!

But then......

.....I noticed we had TWO Squirrels.
One is on the left, and the other one is on the right.
Cute little buggers aren't they?
But they won't be cute if they eat anything out of the garden!

Reading....

Bruce and I used to read to the boys all the time when they were little. So when I snapped a picture of Brandon reading to Kai & Kenzie, it reminded me of a picture I took a looooong time ago.

This picture was taken in 1987.....Brandon is 5, Jason is 4, and Nathan is 2. And Bruce is 28.

And here is Brandon at 28 reading to his kids....I just love it, I love that Kai loves books. I love that at only 3 months old Kenzie loves books (although I think she just likes the pictures, but thats were it starts). But most of all I love that my son reads to his children like his dad did with him.

Jackson Hole

Brandon & Mandy invited us to go to Jackson hole with them. Bruce's Aunt Della has a cabin about 40 minutes from Jackson that we were able to snag for the weekend.

Brandon loaded and ready to head out.

This is the view from the porch of the cabin, it was absolutely beautiful up there.

It was alot colder than we thought, so a little wood chopping was in order.

We played cards (Taffy poker) you just had to be careful and not eat all your profits. Even Kenzie got in a hand or two. She raised the pot with her sucker.(Sorry about the pic being sideways)

About the only wildlife we saw on this trip was a cute little squirrel. So we decided that on our way home we would drive through Idaho and stop at Bear World.

They have lots more than bears there.....we saw buffalo......

....and a white Elk, which was born at the park.

And of course the bears. Alot of bears.

We were told that the Black bears, were a little frisky that day. So if they approached the truck or climbed in the back to just keep driving. They were right, the bears were all over the road. Walking right in front of us. Mckai wanted to roll down the window to get a better look, and to say Hi. He almost succeeded because we forgot to lock the windows. (a very scary moment for grandma)

They have this cute moose his name was Stiltz. He was donated by the state of Idaho after his mother died. This was my favorite animal he didn't seem to be frightened of people, he would walk right up to the fence.

They also have added a petting zoo, were you can feed the deer. I think this was Kai's favorite part.

Erin wasn't to sure about it, she just wanted to watch everyone else feed the animals.

What a fun trip....Thanks for letting us tag along.

Swimming

It's always fun to get out the wading pool and fill it with water for Erin and Mckai, and now Mckenzie gets to join in.

She wasn't to sure about the cold water....

Mckai doesn't care how cold it is....he just loves playing in the water.

After a few dips in the pool, Mckenzie didn't mind splashing around.

Lately Erin just wants to put her feet in, and tell Mckai not to splash on her....which of course he promptly does, and Erin loves it.

Yeah for swimming! well not really swimming, but yeah for water and summer!

July 4th Celebration....on the 3rd.....

We have switched to the West Jordan Parade the last few years because Brandon works the Parade.
Here are my two "Favorite" Cuties...

Mandy and Mckenzie....Kenzie can sleep through anything, even a parade!

You have to have shade to watch a parade.

So glad Jason came to help out with Erin, and Mckai, and Kenzie.
Thanks "J"

Mckai got to ride on one of the Motorcycles that were in the parade.

Brandon, Mckai, Mandy, & Mckenzie.

Mckai using Erin as a back rest....and of course sharing his snowcone.

Mckai got to ride in the parade with Brandon at the end.

Yep....Miss Kenzie can sleep through anything! It was an awesome Parade, and we loved it.

We headed over to watch the Murray Fireworks....it got a little chilly so we needed to bundle up.

Mckai loved the fireworks. It was an great day to spend with Family.
