Memorial Day

I love Memorial Day.

I love how Mckai will explore which ever cemetary we are at.

I love how our kids will go with us.

I love hearing some of the memories that they have.

I love that no one complains about all the cemetaries we go to. It is truly an All Day Event.

I love that Erin is good to get In and Out of the truck so many times. It helped to have Mckenzie along, because she wanted to be wherever kenzie was.

I loved that I had a super big helper that watered all the plants for me.

And I loved watching Mckai & Jason find and chase bunnies.

It was truly a great day.

Running through the Sprinklers.....with a little Mud thrown in.

The weather was really warm the other day. So I asked Kai if he wanted to run through the sprinklers. He is always up for anything involving water.
It started out pretty good.....

But I could tell he had a "plan".....

He asked if he could water my tree ( a very sickly looking "twig in the ground" kind of tree)

Then it became..."Wow look at ALL this Mud!"

I just don't think little boys can resist Mud.

Pretty soon he was covered in it.

He filled a bucket and was going to bring it over for Erin...I think he was secretly hoping to dump it on us.

The Smile on his face says it all.
I love watching Mckai have a fun time.
And I love it even more when it doesn't cost anything.

More Pictures...

I wasn't able to get any pictures of Brandon, Mckai, Mckenzie and Mandy at Kenzies' blessing. So they were nice enough to dress up again and let me take a few pictures.

I might be prejudice, but I have the cutest grankids around. Mckai loved getting his picture taken with Mckenzie. We did have to photoshop Mandy's hand out of the picture, she was holding Mckenzie up.

Mckenzie was pooped from the photo session and fell asleep. I always tell Mandy and Brandon to just keep smiling no matter what. And bless them, they DO!

Mckai, Brandon, and Mckenzie. I love this photo. Actually I love all the photos, even the silly ones. Thanks you four for indulging me and my picture taking obsession.

I also wanted to get a new picture of Jason for the wall.
This is what he thought about that.

It is starting to be more of a challenge to "Wrangle" Jason, than it is Mckai!

Finally......Thank you for holding still Jason.

The Zoo....

Jason invited us to the zoo. To see the baby animals.

Most of the animals were out. I love the new "Big Cat" Habitat, so much better than the cement cages were they paced back and forth.

Mckai loved this baby crocodile. He stood and watched it for 10 minutes. I don't know who stood more still....Mckai or the Croc.

This way Grandpa. This way.

Sadly there was no baby giraffe, it passed away awhile ago.

Mckai catching a ride with Erin up a hill.

Jason and Mckai goofing around.

So So cute.....the baby elephant was the cutest thing ever. Mama elephant made sure she stayed close.

Mckai thought it was so funny that the real Gorilla picked his nose....and heaven forbid "ate it" yuck ! When ya ask him what his favorite part of the zoo was, it was the Gorilla. Too Funny.

Getting a helping hand from Jason in the discovery center.

Pretending to be groundhogs.

And of course you can't go to the Zoo without riding the train. I just love the zoo, so does Erin and Mckai.......Thanks Jason!

Such a trooper

Brandon took this picture of Mckenzie.....she is sitting on Mandy's lap in her hospital gown waiting for surgery. She did great. They thought she might have to spend the night for observation, but she did so good after the surgery that Brandon and Mandy were able to bring her home early. I can't believe she is only 6 weeks old. She is such a cutie....and a trooper!

Mckenzie's Day

Brandon and Mandy had Mckenzie's blessing Sunday. It was a wonderful blessing. Brandon did an awesome job!
I need to remember tissues....there is just something about your child (althought he is not a child he is a grown man) blessing his child, that makes you tear up.

This was Mandy's blessing dress that she wore when she was blessed.

Mckenzie's is truly a "Daddy's Girl" she loves to be held by her daddy.

There is not a brother anywhere who doesn't LOVE his Lil Sister more than Mckai! He is always loving on her, with Hugs and Kisses.

This was the Dress Mckenzie was blessed in, there was more lace and ribbon than there was baby! It was a gorgeous dress.

It was a great day.
Was wonderful to have family and friends there to support Brandon and Mandy, and share in the day with them.

Flying Kites

It takes alot of work to get a kite up in the air

You have to untangle the string when it gets caught in a tree.

Then you have to wait for the next gust of wind.

You have to run around the yard to get some momentum going.

And finally Success!
Good Job you two.
