South Eastern Utah...

We took a small mini vacation to Moab.
I remember going to Moab when I was younger, but Bruce and i had never been to Moab together. So for Erin's Spring Break we decided to head south...(where we were hoping it might be a little warmer)

This is how it looked when we left, not exactly fun going threw Spanish Fork Canyon in a white out!

And this is how it looked when we arrived...not to much warmer, but there was NO SNOW...so it was awesome!

We stayed at the Red Cliff Lodge....I highly recommend it. It is a litttle ways away from Moab but we stayed right on the Colorado River.

This was the view on the back patio, it was so beautiful.

And of course there were horses on the property....we asked the owner if Erin could feed the horses some carrots. He said absolutely and he would even help us with Erin if she wanted to go for a ride around the arena on one of the horses. We tried to talk Erin into riding, but she was happy to just sit and watch, and feed them carrots.

Believe it or not we hiked up a hillside to get this picture, even Erin hiked. She was a real trooper, I am so proud of her. She only complained a little in the beginning.

Here is part of the trail, everytime you rounded a corner, there was more stairs, or more trail....if I would have read the trail guide before we left it would have told us (me) that it was a mile, and the terrain was rocky. A lesson learned

Here she is coming down with help from Dad.

This is the Colorado River coming down Hwy 128. It was a Great trip and we will do it again, but we might wait until end of April, when it is a little warmer. I took over 200 pictures, so i will post some every now and then.

I have been through Moab several times but only stopped once, It is so much fun, We stayed on the east side of town, in a small cabin with 4 adults and 5 children, I would love to go again with just Don sleeping in a room alone. keep posting, I love the pictures.
