Still Snow

 Lots of Snow up on top of Skyline Drive.

 Don't think we will be able to camp up there anytime soon.  Maybe by the end of June or beginning of July.

But it sure was beautiful up there.

And We're off

 Finally took the trailer out for a test drive, or more like a "test camp"

 We decided to go someplace close,  and Crystal Springs fit the bill.

 Was pretty easy to get set up.  We had a nice spot, with all the hook-ups.

 We tried foil dinners.... we almost got it right.  Was a little over cooked, but when your starving who cares?

But the best part about the trip was the Hot Springs.  We all slept good that night!

Cleaning the Pond (water feature)

 First we take out the Little fishes,  and put them in a bucket with a bubbler.

 Then we power wash the rocks and sides of the pond.

 The filtering system is, is .....well its way disgusting!  It gets this way in the winter because it's to cold to clean it and it would stress out the fish.  (yes fish get stressed,  so I was told by the lady at the fish store!)

 Finally a clean pond.  well semi-clean anyway.

 Then you fill the pond back up.  Looks and smells so much better.

And put the fishes Back in.   A nice clean pond for a couple months anyway.  It used to take a half day to do the cleaning,  but now we have it down to a couple hours.  

Nudist Ranch

Too Funny!  

Went for a ride the other day to scout some camping spots,  and came across a nudist ranch.  Luckily we didn't come across any campers!  Part of me wishes we would have!  Because I could use a good laugh.

Finally

All of us in one spot at the same time.  Unfortunately it was for the Passing of "Jay" Butch's partner of 25 years.

Miss Erin

Wanted to run errands the other day and take Erin with me.  She said she couldn't go unless she had her glasses.  I thought she meant reading glasses so I gave her a pair of mine.  She gave them back and said "no glasses"  so it took me a minute to realize she meant sun glasses.  when I gave her a pair, she said "look at me cute"  Yep she's a cutie!

Cat and Mouse?

Nope it's Cat and Squirrel.   Looked out the window the other day, and noticed that a stray cat had chased a squirrel up into a tree by the pond in the back yard.  The higher the cat climbed the higher the squirrel tried to go.  Finally went out and scared the cat away.  The poor squirrel stayed in the tree for almost an hour,  before coming down.
