Memorial  Day

I have always loved Memorial Day,  it reminds me of Family and how important it is.  Visiting Graves and placing flowers is an All Day project.  When we go we always clean up the headstone,  and water the flowers left by others.  Then we stop and remember.  I am so grateful I have a Husband who will always support me with this.  Erin has no choice she goes where we go.  And most the time she will just stay in the car.  I know a lot of people think it is silly,  pointless and a waste of money and time to visit graves on Memorial Day.  But for me and my Family it is important.

This is What Happens When

 You leave Erin and Me in the Car,  While you run into the Store.....

We (well actually me) get bored and take pictures of random things like each other.

Driving on the Freeway the other Day

 And saw this trailer,  loaded with Elk and Deer Antlers.  So of course I had to take a picture.

It reminded me of the arches in Jackson Hole made out of Antlers. 

Tree Climbing Competition

 We headed up to Pioneer Park to watch Arborists climb trees,  It was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.  We made it to the last competition of the day. They have 30 minutes from start to finish.  First they need to sling a rope over a branch (using a huge sling shot)  and secure it before they climb,  they also placed a rope around the bottom of the tree for more stability.   It was fun to see how quickly they could climb the rope using mostly their legs.

 Once they got in the tree they needed to ring 4 bells that were  placed on branches through out the tree. (In the picture above you can see the Arborist reaching out to ring the Orange Bell)  All they had were ropes and carabineers,  to secure themselves in the tree. 

 There were also 3 judges on the ground looking for any errors, and to make sure that the bell was rung.  There were 4 guys who made it to this final round to compete.  When they were finished they also had to make sure all of their  rope was out of the tree.

Bruce had a bunch of his guys he works with up there,  only one competed,  the rest were judges.  They had other contests that took place Friday& and and Saturday this was the finals on Saturday that we made it to.   It was Fun,  I never knew that you could win money in a contest for Climbing a Tree.

My Shadow

Little Miss Mia has been hanging out at our house while Jason was out of town.  If she isn't following me around the house,  she is sitting on my lap.

An Awesome Temple Day

So Grateful that we were able to attend and share in the Temple Day of Murry's Family.  There is nothing that can compare to watching a family be sealed for time and all eternity.

Pictures with katie

Shelly asked me to take Katie's Senior Pictures.  It was a lot of Fun and Katie is so easy to take pictures of.  She did whatever I asked her to do,  even if it was climbing trees,   balancing on a bar,  or laying on the wet grass.  Such a trooper.  Thanks Katie

More Saturday Soccer

So much Fun to watch Mr. "K" play soccer.....by the end of the game he is totally exhausted.

Getting Bigger

 This was a month and a half ago. Such a cute little puppy.

And this one is from a few days ago.  Still cute but can totally knock you over when he is running at you!
