Osprey?

At least I think thats what it is.

When I zoomed in I noticed that it had a fish in it's talons.

Probably to feed these two hungry birds that were on the next pole
in a nest.

Love it when I have my camera with me and can take a picture, with the zoom lens.

Just Miss Erin
I have been trying to make a slideshow of Erin from Birth to Now.

I have a lot of cute pics

She was always good to pose.

And She was always so good to smile.

Even her school pics were good.

It's going to take me awhile to get it completed.

Because there are about 400 pictures to get on the slideshow.  It will be nice when it gets done.

Ghost Town in Montana

Well of course I had to visit any Ghost town in Montana,  The Rv park we stayed at recommended Bannock Ghost Town.

I actually came across the Turner House.  They give you a map, and pamphlet explaining all the buildings in the town.

The Courthouse was later turned into the Meade Hotel

In the Hotel they had this huge staircase that winded up to the second floor.

The town has been given to  the Montana historical society.

The Saloon was Awesome and told a story about Henry Plummer who was the town sheriff, by day and led a band of thieves,  to rob gold miners of their gold by night.

The thing that impressed me most was the wall paper in one of the homes,  it was really well preserved,  and I wondered "who could afford wall paper?"

The Masons built this building.  They used the top half for their meetings, and the bottom was a school.  I asked the staff if they had experienced any paranormal activity or scene anything,  and of course they had stories.  But on my trip I didn't experience any such activity.  Probably a good thing.  Not really sure how I would react if I did see or feel something.  Bannock was a great Ghost Town!  I Loved it!

 A New Smoker

We all went in on a New Traeger Smoker for Fathers Day.

Our first try in the Smoker was Chicken,  we did 2,  one with just Olive Oil, stuffed with orange slices and celery, and one with a Southwestern Rub.

And of course a Few Veggies.

They all fit in the smoker, including some squash and some garlic bread.

It only took about an hour and a half, and they both came out looking yummy!

The Olive Oil one was just a little bit moister, but they both tasted awesome!  There was enough left over to freeze some and to have a couple more times.  I think we will try ribs next!  Yum!

Tarnished Silver
My Great Grandmother gave me this silverware for my wedding, over 36 years ago.  I put them in a box because I didn't want to lose or damage them.  I came across them a few weeks ago and decided to polish them.  I used a silver cream.

The ones on the left are the polished ones,  the right the tarnished ones.  it took about an hour to do one set.  Only 7 more sets to go! oh and a bunch of serving spoons and pie server and about 8 soup spoons.
They look so nice when they are done,  I need to find a silverware box to put them in, so they won't tarnish,  or maybe I just need to start using them.  The Awesome thing about my great-grandmother (Oma) is that she lived to be 103.
