South End of Utah Lake

Came across this Osprey Nest on the south end of Utah Lake,  I only know it's an Osprey because I googled it when I got home, and found they nest on poles and they are close to large bodies of water because they mainly eat fish.  There's your Ornithology lesson for the year.  😀

Love the Snow.

Love being inside in a warm house.

And watching it come down,  I loved that it snowed for Christmas,  But the rain showed up a few days ago and washed it all away.😕

Baby Calf

 Went for a ride the other day "Down South"  came across this Cow who had just given birth.

 It was 20 degrees outside.....Brrrrr Cold!   The Mama cow kept licking the calf and trying to get her to stand.

The Calf tried several times to stand but just couldn't  😟.  So the worried Mama in Me, went to the nearest House down the road,  and let them know about the calf.  The nice lady at the door said she would send her Hubby down to take a look.  It made me feel better.  I thought Calf's were only born in April and October.  But I found out differently.  "I found out if you keep a Bull in with the Heifers,  that they are just like women and can have one every nine Months" This info was curtesy of a nice man who works with Bruce.

Hmmmm,   Just Lucky or bad timing?

 A week  ago we stopped in at Crown Burger to grab dinner before heading out to see yard lights.  It just happened to be the night that the U of U Football team was also there.  The place was packed.  We happened to arrive just as they were starting to arrive,  so we didn't realize it would be the WHOLE team.

Including Coach Whittingham, and other coaches, which by the way was very busy going from table to table to say Hi to all his players and their families.  My pictures are grainy because everyone was always moving.  I was to afraid to ask them to stop and pose.  FYI  they are a very nice polite bunch of men!
