Santa Came Early

 Mr "K" decided he wanted to dress up like Santa....I think he secretly hoped it would scare Miss "K"
He used my red jacket,  found a Hat,  and we made a beard out of card stock,  he really did look like a miniature SANTA.

He even put some presents under the tree. 

His imagination just makes me Smile he is such a cutie!

A Tree Skirt

Saw this on Pinterest,  the tutoral made it seem pretty easy.  Best of all no sewing just a glue gun.

 A pile of material...

 And a new tree skirt.

 You start with a base,  they recommended muslin.  I found some broadcloth that was only 2.00 a yd compared to 7.00 for muslin.  Then you you just start gathering and glueing.

 The first couple of rows are a bit time consuming.

But it all works out in the end.  It turned out great even though it took twice as long as the tutoral said it would.  Hmmm maybe it was the person putting it together.....?

So Much Energy

And then he challenged Grandma to do the same. 

HaHaHaHa!  Like that is happening any time soon!

Oh So Grateful

I am so Grateful for the Love and Mercy of my Father in Heaven.  He has given me so many Blessings.

I am so grateful for the support and Love that Bruce gives me,  he has literally carried me through some tough times.  Over the past year I have wanted to throw in the towel several times and with Bruce's Love and the Mercy of our Heavenly Father I have persevered.  

I am so grateful for my children.  They have been there to help out with whatever I needed and to hang out  and care for Erin,  while I was healing.  I am so grateful for Mandy she has helped so much with keeping things going over the last year and picking up the slack,  when I couldn't do things.  I am so grateful for my grandchildren and the Smile that they put on my face every day.

I am so grateful for  Bruce's Sister and my Sister who have shown how much they love and care for my family.  I am also grateful for the extended family members who have shown support and concern for my well being.


One of my Favorite sayings is  

" If God brings you to It,  he will bring you through it "

and now I can move on to.......

She recently had a sleepover at our house and Mandy packed 5 outfits,  and believe me Miss "K"  wore everyone of them!  She loves cloths.
I predict a little Fashionista in the family.

Long Beach

If you guessed California....you were right!

Getting Erin on the plane took some planning,  but once she was on she did awesome.  It helps to keep her between us.  We flew Jet Blue,  because we always wanted to try them,  and I was able to snag some very inexpensive tickets.

While we were in Long Beach we went to the pacific Aquariam,  I think our favorites were the Sharks, and the Jelly Fish.

Of course we did some swimming.

We took the Catalina Express out to Catalina Island.   If you go on your birthday you can go for free.  unfortunately I was 2 days early.

 We rented a golf cart and toured around.

 It is absolutely beautiful there.

 We also headed up to Hollywood Blvd.  I can honestly say that LA traffic is no worse than here in Salt Lake.

There was some confusion when we checked in to come home,  not to mention an hour delay,  so they upgraded us  (got to Love upgrades they are the best)  The easiest way to entertain Erin is to make sure you download videos so she can watch,  while you wait to board.  This came in oh so handy on our way home.

It's fun to get away for a week but it's always nice to be home.  The funny thing is we were home for 3 days and then gone again down to St George for Bruce's work.

Out of Town

We have been out of town for a week.....can you guess where?
