Swimming...

You can't go through summer without swimming. We went to the Murray Pool. it was the perfect time. We went at 5:30 and the pool was practically empty.

I usually put off telling Erin we are going, only because she wants to put her suit on and carry her towel around until we go. It's only a problem if you tell her the night before.. :-)

Grandpa got Mckai to jump off the side, but only if Grandpa would go on the Diving Board

Here is Grandpa making good on his promise......

Erin Loves the slide. I'm fine with it as long as someone is at the bottom to pull her back up when she sinks to the bottom. Yep Erin is a sinker!

After watching everybody try the slide, Mckai decided to go.

Here he comes...He loved it and went a couple more times!

Thanks for hanging on to me Dad, so I don't sink to the bottom like Erin.

Brandon just can't resist teasing Erin...which she LOVES...Brandon's excuse was that she kept splashing him so she was due for a dunking.

Rodeo's Parade's & Fireworks....

We had a great 4th of July. We started off with the Western Stampede Rodeo. I wish I would have taken my "Good" camera, cuz we were a little (a lot really) high up in the bleachers. I guess ya have to know somebody who knows somebody....to get the good seats!

I know Mckai had a great time.

So did Erin....they gave away cowboy hats. It took awhile for Erin to warm up to the idea of wearing one.

We attended West Jordans Parade. In the past we have gone to Murray's parade which starts at 8:30am. But West Jordans starts at 10:30am, so you can guess which one we chose. That and the fact that Brandon works the corner where we sit
I'm not sure what city this float is....what I liked about it is the "City Royalty" got to sit in a swing, and swing, and not stand holding onto a cane, trying to balance, not fall over, and wave to the crowd.

Erin loves parades. We should probably find more to go to.

Mckai and Grandpa Bruce like pareades too.

After the Parade it was off to get some breakfast/lunch. Then home for a nap. For me anyway.

My favorite part of the day is watching the fireworks. Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

Heber Valley Railroad

For Erin's Graduation Present we gave her a weekend in Heber, and a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad, Formaly known as the "Heber Creeper'. It was a ton of Fun and Erin loved it.

Here she is ready to board....and of course she has her "Bag' with all her "Stuff" in it. On this trip it was her MP3 and some taffy, oh yes and a can of Pepsi.

And we're off. They had 2 cars that were enclosed and 2 that were open.
On the way down the canyon, we chose the enclosed, because we thought for sure it was going to rain.

15 minutes into our trip the train was pulled over by train robbers....

They boarded the train and made us all put our hands in the air.....I was a little worried that Erin might be scared because they had very loud guns, and bandanas on their faces...

But we worried for nothing. She couldn't stop laughing. She thought it was hilarious.

They even took hostages.....

Then they got on their horses and left. The whole time Erin just couldn't stop laughing. It was more fun watching her reaction than the train robbers!

The scenery was absolutely beautiful. From Deer lake, Provo Canyon, Provo River all the way down to Vivian park. And the train goes just the right speed so you can take pictures.

If anyone is looking for a fun way to spend a couple hours (actually it was 3 hours) this is the trip to take. But I would recommend the open train cars. You can see way more. Just a warning though beware of the soot from the coal engine, it gets all over everything.

Yeah for the Sun!

It is finally warm enough outside, that we could blow up the pool. Fill it with water. And splash around and play all afternoon. Which is just what we did.

Mckai kept telling us he wanted to "Swim like the Dolphins"

Mckai wants to make sure that Erin gets the full experience of the pool so .......

.......He made sure she got all wet! Erin LOVED it and laughed the whole time...even though she kept saying "Kai don't get me wet"

Can I stay in the pool all Day? So I can Swim Like the Dolphins?

The PlayHouse

Mckai just loves to play outside.

He also loves hanging out with Grandpa.

The other day Mckai asked Grandpa if he would come play in the playhouse with him. And gave him a big HUG to seal the deal!

It was pretty easy for Grandpa to get in the playhouse. Mckai was right behind him.

Hey Grandpa....Look out the window and give us a SMILE!

Thanks Grandpa...you are such a Good Sport.

Not so easy getting out of the playhouse, but with a little help from Mckai he makes it out.

She Made It....Yeah!

Erin was able to participate in Murray High's Graduation. She graduated with all the kids she has grown up with and gone to school with. It was an awesome night. There were tears all around (our family) when they read Erin's name, and her peers gave her a standing ovation.

Here she is having her name read, getting ready to shake the principals hand.

Here is Erin's teacher who helped Erin up the stairs and safely across the stage to get her certificate. Ms Heaton helped Erin with many accomplishments and goals through out the year.

Erin..."The Graduate" She is not about to let go of those flowers. She has such wonderful brothers and sister-in laws. They all came to help Erin Celebrate.

Family pictures....it was nice that the rain cleared up when we were all done.

Getting Congratulation Kisses from her favorite person...Mckai
Erin we love you very much...Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey!
Your the BEST!!
